10 years optimising data
For the last 10 years, our experts at S-cubed have been using Qlik to ensure that our pharmaceutical partners are able to visualise their data clearly. Being able to quickly spot data trends, analyse the data and use that information to inform decision making is vital and relies on data optimisation. In the last year, when clinical trials have been affected by the global pandemic, being able to understand your data fast is key to delivering safe drugs efficiently.
Why is this important to me?
There are very few roles in day-to-day clinical operations that don’t require a good overview of data and need good data optimisation. For instance, in data management, you are required to ensure that data is high quality and has integrity. If you are receiving data from an EDC and perhaps get notifications of missing data, how can you visualise and understand the listings and reports to ensure the data is complete? Using a Qlik dashboard will give clear and unambiguous views of the data and ensure that the data is complete and logical as well as highlighting any inconsistencies. Qlik reduces the errors that are often associated with using manual processes too, by introducing automation and, of course, reducing the time spent on those manual tasks.
But why Qlik?
We know that you can choose other ways of viewing your data, but the evidence shows that Qlik can save your business money. At the end of January, Qlik released a press release demonstrating the impact that of implementation at Novartis. The release clearly states that they chose Qlik because:
‘the company values high-performance analysis, optimal data availability, and an intuitive analytics experience that incorporates data from all sources without infrastructure barriers.’
They have seen huge savings across the business: six figure sums. The mass introduction of Qlik hasn’t just impacted the clinical data either, it has affected business processes in finance and sales, areas where, if you can reduce errors and save time, the impact can be tremendous.
What can S-cubed do for me?
When Jack Jacobsen started using QlikView at Lundbeck in 2009, he realised immediately the value that Qlik brought to clinical data. Highly experienced and knowing that he could do even more with his background in clinical research, Jack started the Qlik consultancy at S-cubed. The team have now been successfully implementing Qlik in pharmaceutical companies and demonstrating the value it brings for more than 10 years. Our team has a unique combination of using Qlik Sense and their backgrounds in clinical data to do the hard work of medical monitoring, pharmacovigilance, and much more. In addition, they can ensure that you are up and running swiftly and gaining the benefits. Even better, if you were thinking of introducing Qlik into other areas, they have experience in financial, marketing and business operations: a truly rounded service.
To fully understand the benefits of Qlik, you have to see it in action. After all, it’s a visual tool. The best way to do that is to get in contact with our team at S-cubed and let them show you the power of the tools. We also give you the chance to try for free to get a real feel for them, not just a few days but a reasonable period so that you can understand the way it works with your data and your systems.
With the potential for massive savings. data optimisation and a reduction in errors, why not give it a try?
